Mark
A. Newton, helps people from the beginning of marriage to
the end. The goal is to prevent or resolve issues using
strategies that cause the least conflict and cost. Services
include: prenuptial agreements, separation agreements,
dissolution or divorce, child custody (parenting
rights and responsibilities), property division,
spousal support and child support, post-decree issue resolution.
I have an enduring interest in protecting the interests
of children, from infants to juveniles, whether their parents
are married, divorced or single: paternity, child
support, child custody and parenting time, special needs
children, companionship rights, adoption, and juvenile issues.
When there are domestic violence issues, I pursue civil
or temporary protection orders for clients and their children.
When
marriages end, dividing property is a key concern. One of
the biggest challenges is allocating pension benefits. I
bring many years' specialized experience advising major
Ohio multi-employer/union pension and benefit plans to my
domestic relations practice, including work in pension
valuation, pension benefits division, and qualified domestic
relations orders (QDROs) as well as knowledge about
divorce and public pensions, and divorce
and military pensions.
My
practice primarily serves people in Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga,
Summit and Portage counties but I am also conveniently located
for clients in Warren and Ashtabula. An initial free
consultation is full and informative.
